Welcome to Scouting! Cub Scout PACK # 125, New Oxford, Pa.
We thought it would be helpful to provide our new Scout and family with some background on how Cub Scout Pack 125 and Cub Den’s are organized, while providing some insight into how your young Scout will begin the progression to achieve the ranks of our Scouting program. The following information we hope will be helpful as your new scout begins the Scouting Adventure.
Pack 125 consist of Six Den’s
About our Dens… Dens are lead by a Den Leader, and function with Adult Partners (Parent or Guardian). Dens Gather: Wednesday evenings from 6-7 PM (unless otherwise noted on the Pack Annual Calendar). We “Gather” at our Scout Room, located in the Borough of New Oxford Municipal Building, 124 Peters Street, New Oxford, PA (use side entrance which faces Berlin Road – Pack 125 sign above entrance doors). Scout Assignments: Once your Scout is assigned to a Den, they will receive a Handbook, Den specific Neckerchief & Slide as well as “Patches” to be applied to the Scout Uniform. The handbook will be used throughout the year by Den Leaders to assist the Scout in working through their Adventures to achieve Rank while experiencing the Scouting program.
About our Pack… Our Pack is Led by our Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster. Our Pack “Gathers” on a monthly basis, one Sunday a month (unless otherwise noted due to a Holiday or Pack activity or special event. We Gather from 3-5 PM, at the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club Pavilion which is located at 200 West Golden Lane, New Oxford, Pa (the Pavilion is located to rear of the Social Club complex). Exception to dates and times are announced in advance or reflected on the Pack Annual Calendar.
Scout Uniforms & Dress… At Den Gatherings, Scouts dress in casual wear that is season appropriate. At Pack Gatherings, Scouts dress in their Cub Scout Uniform, (Cub Scout Shirt, Neckerchief, & Neckerchief Slide. Cub Scout Pants are Optional – most scouts do not wear official Scout pants). Special Events: Scouts are advised in advance of the event and dress attire to be worn. Scout Uniforms may be purchased at one of our Council “New Birth of Freedom” Scout Store locations.

About Adult Partners… Boy Scouts of America (BSA) utilizes an “Adult Partnering” program of participation as your child undertakes the Scouting adventure. Adult Partners (Parent or Guardian) must attend Scout Functions with your Scout, to include: Den & Pack Gatherings, special events or activities. To maintain our Charter, we support and adhere to this BSA required approach to Scouting.
